About

Linda Sparks

Hi, I’m Linda Sparks. As a matter of introduction, I make my living serving as a business development consultant and have been doing so for over 25 years. (I started really young!)

I’m also a two-time author of popular business books, and founder of the International Association of Event Promoters (IAEP).

You have found me through my event niche blog site and I want to thank you for visiting.

By nature I am very process oriented so I take a very systematic approach to helping my clients to do their best work. I don’t offer cookie cutter solutions. What I do is apply a proven process to uncovering the unique assets inherent in each client’s operation and then develop practical strategies that leverage them. The system produces successful results every time, so I trust the system and I believe you will too!

I began serving the event niche initially as part of my own personal community and charity involvement activities. I served often as part of volunteer committees focused on organizing fundraising events with the hopes of spinning off financial proceeds for countless worthy causes and charity organizations. Some of my favorites have been the Indianapolis Air Show, Victory Days, and countless events for my Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Professional Associations.

Because of my professional expertise in the area of business development and my extreme bias toward creating productive systems, I was often able to have a long-term impact through my involvement with individual events.

As a point of fact, many event organizations, even some big budget types, operate with very limited financial and professional resources pointed toward their promotional objectives. I have a vision for closing some of these gaps.

By launching this professional services blog site as well as the International Association of Event Promoters (IAEP) I intend to rally resources around the event promotion sector and the worthy charities and causes many of them support.

During a Hot Seat Session, with famous author and small business guru,  Michael Gerber, In the Dreaming Room I was personally challenged by Mr. Gerber to build a sustainable business model around what had previously been my philanthropic efforts to serve. I heed his counsel with the launch of this blog site, IAEP, and a series professional services, tailored expressly for successful event promotions.

Please feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to serving you and your event organization.

 Mission Critical Resources

Locating productive resources in support of successful event promotions is critical to event organizers and promoters. Our daily conversations on the topic of event promoting, allow us to discover many tips, tools, and options. We make an effort to filter resources and discern the usefulness and quality of every resource before we mention them, however we do not imply any guarantee on their behalf. Please perform your own due diligence and make decisions independently. We welcome your feedback on these or other useful resources, so please plan to share.

In some cases, we have an affiliate relationship with a resource, which means we get revenue when you click through from this site and make a purchase.

We hope you do not mind. Generating additional revenue from these useful links allows us to offer lower prices to you on our fee-based products and services —something we are dedicated to doing in every way we can.

Please visit our Productive Resources. We aim to keep the list dynamic, so plan to share your favorites with the event promotion community as well.
