International Association of Event Promoters (IAEP)

The International Association of Event Promoters (IAEP) was created to provide event organizers and promoters with a functional base camp where insights, ideas, and resources are shared for improved event outcomes.

IAEP was founded by Linda Sparks to foster conversations among organizers and promoters of open-to-public events, as a way of helping them to do their best work.

The IAEP recognizes that many open-to-the-public events are organized specifically to benefit worthy charities and causes and IAEP seeks to help them maximize financial proceeds by leveraging all their event assets toward promotional outcomes.

Whether you’re involved in your event professionally or as a volunteer, and regardless of the size and style of your open-to-public event, your participation in IAEP is welcomed.

Each event organizer has knowledge and experience to share and you are widely encouraged to become part of the conversation.

Conversations and resources will cover a wide range of topics of special interest to open-to-public events including:

  • Maximizing attendance for both paid and free admission events
  • Increasing net proceeds
  • Improving role clarity and position performance for individual team members
  • Putting the entire event budget in promotional perspective
  • When you participate—Expect good things, because IAEP gets YOU!

 IAEP Members and facilitators….

  •    Understand the timeline sensitivities and performance pressures you face
  •    Provide support and feedback on major decision making
  •    Have ideas and benchmark documents to support and encourage one another
  •    Expand your perspective about what is possible
  •    Know things that will help your event to thrive in this crazy economy

Linda founded IAEP in 2010 as an answer to a void witnessed first-hand in the event management and promotion industry. There is a wide range of resources available to organizers of private and corporate events but a major gap in resources that specifically serve and support open-to-public type events.

As a professional resource to several events over the years, Linda has developed a unique and holistic approach to event promotions. Whether donating time and talent to her favorite causes or providing fee-based services, there is always a call to share abundantly. Launching IAEP has become a labor of love and a way to channel support and collaboration to individuals involved with open-to-public events, many of which are providing mission critical funding to community causes and charities.
